                        Description
                        
                            Cota jailensis (also called Jail's cota, among many other common names) is an annual herbaceous plant native to the Mediterranean region. It grows up to 30 cm tall and has a shallow root system. It is found in dry grasslands, open woodlands, and disturbed sites.
