Description
Centaurea acicularis (also called Needle Centaurea, among many other common names) is an annual herbaceous plant native to Europe, Asia, and North Africa. It has a single stem that grows up to 30 cm tall, with deeply lobed leaves and small white flowers. It prefers dry, sunny habitats such as meadows, roadsides, and open woods.
Cultivation and Propagation
Centaurea acicularis is a perennial plant that is best grown in full sun and moist, well-drained soil. It can be propagated from seed or division. When propagating from seed, sow the seeds in a cold frame in the spring. When propagating from division, divide the clumps in the spring or fall.
