                            Carminatia papagayana (also called papagayana carminatia, among many other common names) is an annual herbaceous plant native to South America. It has a simple stem with a few branches and grows up to a height of 40-50 cm. The leaves are simple, alternate, and lanceolate in shape. The flowers are yellow and the fruits are achenes. It is found in the tropical and subtropical regions of South America, growing in dry and moist deciduous forests.
