Description

Bartlettina karwinskiana (also called 'Karwinski's Bartlettina', 'Karwinski's Bartlettina-flower', 'Karwinski's Bartlettina-daisy', 'Karwinski's Bartlettina-star' among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant native to the Andes of Colombia. It has a basal rosette of leaves and a single stem with yellow flower heads. It grows in alpine meadows and rocky slopes at elevations of 3,000–4,000 m.
