                            Asteriscus daltonii (also called Dalton's star-thistle, among many other common names) is an annual herb native to the Mediterranean region. It has a woody stem and its leaves are deeply lobed and covered in soft hairs. It grows in dry, rocky areas and is often found on roadsides and in disturbed areas.
