Description

Aster tataricus (also called Tatarinov's Aster, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the family Asteraceae. It is native to Central Asia, and is found in dry, rocky areas, as well as in meadows and steppes. It is an herbaceous perennial plant that grows up to 1 meter tall, with a few, sparsely branched stems. Its leaves are alternate, lanceolate, and up to 15 cm long. Its flowers are yellow, with a diameter of up to 2 cm.
