Aster neolanuginosus (also called Downy Aster, among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant native to the eastern United States. It has a basal rosette of leaves and a single stem with a few leaves. The flowers are white or pinkish with yellow spots and are borne in a terminal raceme. It grows in moist meadows, streambanks, and other wet areas.
