Achyrocline heringeri is a perennial herbaceous plant that grows in the high Andes of Colombia and Venezuela. It is a slow-growing species and can take up to 10 years to reach maturity. Propagation is usually done by seed or by division of the root system. Seeds should be sown in a well-draining medium and kept in a warm, sunny location. Division of the root system should be done in the spring or fall. The plants should be spaced about 1 foot apart and kept moist until established.
