Mitrephora polypyrena (also called 'Polypyrenous Mitrephora', among many other common names) is a shrub or small tree with a spreading crown, growing up to 5 m tall. It is native to tropical Africa, from Sierra Leone to Angola, and is found in lowland rainforest, swamp forest, and gallery forest habitats.
