Caldesia janaki-ammaliae (also called Janaki-ammalia's Caldesia, among many other common names) is a perennial herb that can reach up to 1 meter in height. It has a green stem and its leaves are alternate, simple, lanceolate and entire. It is native to India and found in the Western Ghats. It is usually found in moist deciduous forests.
