Tribulus platypterus (also called Spiny Burr, among many other common names) is an annual herb native to tropical and subtropical regions of Asia, Africa and the Americas. It has a prostrate or climbing growth habit and its leaves are alternate, simple, ovate-lanceolate, and serrate. It prefers moist, well-drained soils and is often found in tropical and subtropical forests.
