Zostera caulescens (also called Leafy Seagrass, among many other common names) is a perennial herb native to the coasts of the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. It has a basal rosette of long, narrow leaves and a single stem with a single flower. It is found in shallow, brackish waters in estuaries and salt marshes.
