Description
Zingiber phillippsiae (also called Chinese ginger, among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant native to tropical Asia. It has a short, thick rhizome with a reddish-brown skin and yellow flesh. The leaves are lanceolate, long and narrow, with a pointed tip. It grows in tropical forests, and open areas, such as roadsides and abandoned fields.
