Scaphochlamys laxa (also called Lax Scaphochlamys, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the Arecaceae family. It is native to India, where it is found in lowland tropical rainforest habitats. It is a small to medium-sized palm, growing up to 12 m tall with a trunk diameter of up to 12 cm.
