Description

Roscoea ngainoi (also called Himalayan ginger, among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant native to the Himalayas. It has a rhizome root system and grows up to 1 m tall. It has long, narrow leaves and small, bell-shaped flowers in shades of purple and white. It is found in moist, shady areas in the Himalayas, including Nepal, Bhutan and India.
