Description
Hedychium subditum (also called White Ginger Lily, Butterfly Lily, and White Butterfly Ginger, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the Zingiberaceae family. It is native to India, Nepal, and Bhutan, and is found in tropical and subtropical moist montane forests. It is a herbaceous perennial with white, fragrant flowers and long, narrow leaves.

Hedychium subditum is used as an ornamental plant in gardens and as a houseplant. It has a variety of medicinal uses, including treating fever, skin diseases, and digestive disorders.
Cultivation and Propagation
Hedychium subditum can be propagated by division or by cuttings. Division in spring or autumn. Very easy, larger clumps can be replanted direct into their permanent positions, though it is best to pot up smaller clumps and grow them on in a cold frame until they are rooting well. Plant them out in the spring. Cuttings of half-ripe wood, July/August in a frame. Good percentage.
