Vochysia awasensis (also called 'Awas Vochysia', among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the family Vochysiaceae. It is native to tropical South America, from Brazil to Peru. It is a shrub growing to 3 m tall, with elliptic leaves and yellow flowers. It grows in shady, moist, tropical forests.
