Description
Phenax angustifolius (also called Narrow-leaved Phenax, or Phenax angustifolia, among many other common names) is a small, evergreen, perennial herbaceous plant native to South America. It has small, oval-shaped, bright green leaves with a silvery sheen, and it grows in a low, spreading mound. It is typically found in tropical and subtropical areas, in moist, shady habitats.

Phenax angustifolius has small white flowers with yellow centers and small, round, black seeds. The seedlings have small, oval-shaped leaves and a single stem.
Cultivation and Propagation
Phenax angustifolius is a low-growing, evergreen perennial plant that grows up to 10 cm tall. It prefers a well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. Propagation is by division or cuttings taken in spring or summer.
