Description
Thuidium hygrophilum (also called Thuidium hygrophila, among many other common names) is a species of moss that is found in North America and Europe. It is a small, tufted moss with yellowish-green stems and leaves that are lanceolate in shape. It is found in moist, shady habitats, such as woodlands, forests, and grasslands.

Thuidium hygrophilum has small, white flowers with yellow anthers and its seeds are small, dark brown and oval-shaped. Its seedlings are small, dark green and have a single leaf.
Cultivation and Propagation
Thuidium hygrophilum can be propagated by division of the plant or by spore sowing. It prefers a moist, well-drained soil and should be grown in partial shade. It can be grown in an aquarium or terrarium.
