Description
Tectaria squamipes (also called scaly-footed tectaria, among many other common names) is a species of fern in the Tectariaceae family. It is native to Central America, the Caribbean, and northern South America. It grows in moist, shady areas, often in limestone soils.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
The flowers of Tectaria squamipes are small and white, with yellow anthers. The seeds are small and black in color. The seedlings are small and delicate, with light green leaves and a thin stem.
