Description
Tectaria latifolia (also called Broadleaf Tectaria, among many other common names) is a species of fern native to North America and Europe. It is an evergreen fern with a creeping rhizome and long-stalked, triangular fronds. It prefers moist, shady habitats, such as in woodlands and along streams.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
Tectaria latifolia has small, yellow-green flowers that are clustered in a spike-like inflorescence. The seeds are small, dark-brown and elliptical in shape. The seedlings are small, with a single, long, narrow leaf.
