Description
Tectaria camerooniana (also called Cameroon Tectaria, among many other common names) is a large, terrestrial fern native to Central and South America. It has a creeping rhizome and large, feathery fronds. It is found in moist, shady areas, such as swamps and wet meadows.

Tectaria camerooniana has small, yellowish-green flowers that are borne in clusters on the leaf axils. The seeds are small and black, and the seedlings have long, narrow leaves.
