Description
Tamarix gansuensis (also called Gansu Tamarisk, and Gansu Athel Tamarisk, among many other common names) is a species of shrub or small tree in the Tamaricaceae family. It is native to the Mediterranean region, southern Europe, and parts of Asia. It typically grows in salty or alkaline soils, and is often found in coastal areas, salt marshes, and riverbanks.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
Tamarix gansuensis has small, white flowers and small, black seeds. Seedlings have a single cotyledon and a pair of opposite, oblong-shaped leaves.
