Alniphyllum pterospermum (also called 'Bristly-leaved Water-plantain', 'Bristly Water-plantain' and 'Bristly Water-Plantain', among many other common names) is a perennial aquatic plant native to South Africa. It has a creeping rhizome and grows in shallow water, along the edges of streams, and in marshy areas. It has long, narrow, pointed leaves that are covered in bristly hairs.
