Sphagnum rutenbergii (also called Rutenberg's Bogmoss, among many other common names) is a species of moss native to the northern hemisphere, including North America, Europe, and Asia. It is a small moss, growing up to 5 cm in height, with a yellowish-green color. It prefers to grow in moist, shady areas, such as in the understory of forests or along stream banks.
