Description
Simarouba tulae (also called Simarouba glauca, Paradise Tree, and Bitterwood, among many other common names) is a species of flowering tree native to the Caribbean and parts of Central and South America. It typically grows to a height of 10-20 meters, with a trunk diameter of up to 40 cm. Its leaves are pinnately compound and its flowers are yellow-green. It is found in tropical and subtropical moist lowland forests, as well as in disturbed areas.
