Cultivation and Propagation

Manulea platystigma is a small evergreen shrub, native to South Africa. It is easy to propagate from cuttings, which should be taken in spring or summer. Cuttings should be taken from the current season's growth and should be about 10 cm (4 inches) long. Dip the cuttings in a rooting hormone and plant them in a pot filled with a well-draining potting mix. Place the pot in a warm, bright location and keep the soil moist. The cuttings should root in about 6 weeks.
