                        Description
                        
                            Dolichostemon verticillatus (also called whorled wild bean, among many other common names) is an annual herb native to South Africa. It has a slender stem and grows up to 1m tall. It grows in grassland and scrubland habitats.                        
                     
                                
                                    
                        Uses & Benefits
                        
                            Dolichostemon verticillatus is used as an ornamental plant, as a forage crop, and as a medicinal plant. Its leaves are used to make a tea that is believed to have anti-inflammatory and diuretic properties.
