Description
Chrysophyllum superbum (also called Superb Star Apple, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the Sapotaceae family. It is native to tropical Africa, from Nigeria east to Ethiopia and south to Angola. It is a small tree or shrub, growing to 5–10 m tall. The leaves are alternate, simple, 5–12 cm long, with an entire margin.
Cultivation and Propagation
Chrysophyllum superbum can be propagated by seed or cuttings. It prefers full sun and moist, well-drained soil. It is drought tolerant once established. It is a good choice for garden beds, borders, and mass plantings.
