Cultivation and Propagation

Chrysophyllum roxburghii can be propagated by seed or cutting. Seeds should be sown in spring or autumn in a cold frame. When they are large enough to handle, prick the seedlings out into individual pots and grow them on in the greenhouse for their first winter. Plant out in late spring or early summer. Cuttings of half-ripe wood, 5 - 8cm with a heel, July/August in a frame. Plant out in the following spring.
