Acer yangbiense (also called Yangbi maple, among many other common names) is a species of deciduous tree in the family Sapindaceae. It is an evergreen tree that can reach up to 10 m in height. It is native to Japan and Korea. It is found in forests, often in rocky areas, at altitudes of 0-2000 m.

Cultivation and Propagation

Plant them out into their permanent positions in late spring or early summer, after the last expected frosts. Cuttings of half-ripe wood, 5 - 8cm with a heel, July/August in a frame. Layering in late summer. Takes 1 year.
