Description

Acer nipponicum (also called Japanese Maple, among many other common names) is a deciduous tree that can reach up to 15 meters in height. It has a broad, rounded crown and its bark is gray-brown with shallow fissures. It is native to Japan and grows in moist, shady forests at elevations of 1000-2000 meters.
