Description
Salix blakii (also called Blak's Willow, among many other common names) is a deciduous shrub native to India, Nepal, and Bhutan. It has a rounded crown and a light gray bark. The leaves are ovate-lanceolate, with a serrated margin and a pointed tip. It grows in subtropical or tropical moist montane forests, at an altitude of 1500-3000 m.
Uses & Benefits
Salix blakii is used for making baskets, furniture, and fuel. It is also used for erosion control and as a windbreak.
