Description
Populus wuana (also called Wuan Poplar, among many other common names) is a species of poplar native to China, Bhutan, India, Myanmar, and Thailand. It is a small to medium-sized deciduous tree, growing to 10–20 m tall, with a trunk up to 60 cm diameter. It grows in moist habitats, such as riverbanks, swamps, and lake shores.

Populus wuana is used for making furniture, paper, and plywood. It is also used for windbreaks and soil stabilization.

The flowers of Populus wuana are small, yellow-green, and appear in clusters. The seeds are small, light brown, and have a tuft of white hairs attached. The seedlings are small, with a single stem and two opposite leaves.
