Description
Zanthoxylum beecheyanum (also called Chinese Prickly Ash, among many other common names) is a deciduous shrub or small tree native to China and Japan. It has a rounded crown, and can reach up to 8 m in height. Its leaves are pinnate, with leaflets that are ovate to lanceolate in shape. It prefers moist, well-drained soils in sunny or partially shaded habitats.
