                        Description
                        
                            Myrtopsis myrtoidea (also called Myrtle-like Myrtopsis, among many other common names) is a shrub or small tree that can reach up to 10 m in height. It is native to South America, where it is found in wet montane forests. It is a shade-tolerant species and is often found in disturbed areas.
