Description

Gardenia barnesii (also called 'Cape jasmine', among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the Rubiaceae family. It is native to South Africa, where it is found in rocky habitats. It is an evergreen shrub that grows up to 2 m tall and has glossy, dark green leaves. Its fragrant white flowers have yellow centers and are up to 5 cm in diameter.
