Chomelia rubra (also called Red Cane, among many other common names) is a species of bamboo native to Central America. It is a small, clumping bamboo with culms that can reach up to 2 m (6.6 ft) tall and 1 cm (0.4 in) in diameter. It is found in moist, sandy soils in bottomlands, swamps, and along streams and rivers.

Chomelia rubra is used as an ornamental plant and for erosion control. It is also used in landscaping and as a windbreak.
