Cercocarpus douglasii (also called Douglas' hawthorn, mountain mahogany, and tall Oregon-grape, among many other common names) is a species of shrub or small tree in the rose family. It is native to western North America from British Columbia south to California and east to Montana, Wyoming, and Colorado. It grows in dry open forests, chaparral, and woodlands, often on dry rocky slopes.
