Description
Ranunculus fuegianus (also called Fuegian Buttercup, among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant native to the southern Andes of Chile and Argentina. It has a basal rosette of leaves and yellow flowers. It prefers moist, shady habitats and can be found in meadows, forests, and along streams.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
Ranunculus fuegianus has small, yellow flowers with five petals. Its seeds are small and black. Its seedlings have two cotyledons and a single, long-lasting bract.
