Drypetes laevis (also called Smooth Drypetes, among many other common names) is a shrub or small tree that typically grows up to 10 m tall. It is native to India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Myanmar, and is found in tropical and subtropical moist lowland forests. It is also found in mangrove forests, and in disturbed areas.
