Description
Potamogeton compressus (also called Compressed Pondweed, among many other common names) is an aquatic plant native to Europe, Asia and North America. It is a submerged plant with long, narrow leaves that are usually arranged in whorls of three. It grows in shallow, still or slow-moving water, and is found in ponds, lakes, ditches and slow-moving rivers.

The flower of Potamogeton compressus is small and greenish-white, with four petals. The seed is small and round, with a dark brown color. The seedlings are small and thin, with long, narrow leaves.
Where to Find Potamogeton compressus
Potamogeton compressus is found in shallow, slow-moving water bodies in the northern United States and Canada, as well as in parts of Europe and Asia.
