Pogonatum rutteri (also called Rutteri Feathermoss, among many other common names) is a species of moss found in tropical and subtropical regions of the world. It is a small, tufted plant with short, erect stems and small, ovate leaves. It is found in moist, shady habitats, such as forests, woodlands, and along streams.

Pogonatum rutteri has a small, yellow-green flower with a single anther. Its seeds are small and black, and its seedlings are small, with a single leaf and a single root.
Cultivation and Propagation
Pogonatum rutteri can be propagated by spores or by division of the rhizome. It prefers a moist, shady environment and should be grown in a soil that is rich in organic matter. It should be watered regularly, but not allowed to become waterlogged. Fertilizer should be applied in spring and summer.
