Description
Pogonatum iwatsukii (also called Iwatsuk's Pogonatum, among many other common names) is a small moss species with a short, erect stem and a tuft of leaves at the top. It is native to North America, Europe, and Asia, and grows in moist, shady habitats.

Pogonatum iwatsukii has small, yellow flowers with four petals. Its seeds are small, dark and round. The seedlings are small and thin.
Cultivation and Propagation
Pogonatum iwatsukii can be propagated by division of the rhizomes or by spore sowing. It prefers moist, shady conditions and can be grown in a variety of soils. It is best grown in a humus-rich, moist soil in part shade.
