Description
Pogonatum camusii (also called Camus' Pogonatum, among many other common names) is a small moss species with a short, erect stem and a tuft of leaves at the top. It is native to North America, Europe, and Asia, and grows in moist, shady habitats.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
Pogonatum camusii has small, yellow flowers with six petals. The seeds are small, black and round. The seedlings have two small, oval-shaped leaves.
Cultivation and Propagation
Pogonatum camusii can be propagated by division of the rhizomes or by spore sowing. It prefers moist, shady conditions and can be grown in a variety of soils. It is best grown in a humus-rich, moist soil in part shade.
