Description
Rumex cordatus (also called Heart-leaved Dock, among many other common names) is a perennial plant native to Europe, Asia, and North Africa. It has a basal rosette of heart-shaped leaves and a tall, erect stem with small yellow flowers. It grows in moist, grassy areas, such as riverbanks, meadows, and roadsides.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
The flowers of Rumex cordatus are small, greenish-white and clustered in a panicle. The seeds are small, brown and shiny. The seedlings have a rosette of lance-shaped leaves.
