                            Eriogonum fusiforme (also called Fusiform Buckwheat, among many other common names) is a low-growing, evergreen shrub with small, white flowers.                             Eriogonum fusiforme is a species of wild buckwheat known by the common name desert trumpet. It is native to the deserts of the southwestern United States and northern Mexico, where it grows in sandy, gravelly, or rocky soils. This is a perennial herb producing a branching, hairy stem up to about 60 centimeters in maximum height. The leaves are variable in shape, sometimes divided into several lobes, and the inflorescence is a cluster of small flowers. The fruit is a small achene.
