Description
Yushania rolloana (also called 'Rollo's Grass', among many other common names) is a species of grass native to China, Taiwan, and Vietnam. It is a clumping grass with long, thin leaves and a tall, upright habit. It grows in moist, shady habitats, such as along riverbanks and in wet forests.

Yushania rolloana is used as an ornamental plant, for erosion control, and as a source of paper pulp.

Yushania rolloana has small, white flowers with yellow anthers. The seeds are small, black and round. The seedlings are thin and have long, narrow leaves.
Cultivation and Propagation
Yushania rolloana is a perennial grass that grows in clumps and can reach a height of 2-3 feet. It prefers moist, well-drained soils in full sun to partial shade. Propagation is done by division of the clumps or by seed. Seeds should be sown in spring or early summer in a well-prepared seedbed.
