                        Description
                        
                            Sacciolepis transbarbuta (also called 'transverse sandbur', 'transverse burgrass' and 'transverse sandburr', among many other common names) is an annual grass native to the southeastern United States. It typically grows in sandy soils and is found in coastal areas, open fields, and disturbed sites. It has narrow, linear leaves with small, transverse burs on the stems and sheaths.
