                        Description
                        
                            Polytoca macrophylla (also called Large-leaved Polytoca, among many other common names) is an annual grass species native to South America. It has a slender stem with a tuft of long, narrow leaves at the base and a long, narrow inflorescence. It grows in dry, sandy soils in open grasslands and along roadsides.

                            Polytoca macrophylla has white flowers with yellow anthers and a yellow center. The seeds are small, black and round.                             Polytoca macrophylla can be propagated through division and seeds. It is best grown in moist, well-drained soils in full sun to part shade.
